Is it me or should that read Kevin Hurst? Any relation to Geoff?

And I agree with some of the comments above - we have 3 wingers now when we rarely play more than 1. Hhhmmmmm.

So he has had more clubs than a stone age hunter ............. why's that then?

Just realised the above sounds a little negative so I should add that I am pleased to see a signing!

CP really cant win. He was getting crucified for naming Gavin Tomlin but then people were moaning because he initially wasn't naming Hurst.

Unfortunately I have a very myopic view of football, and therefore I don't know a whole lot about players that don't play for us, unless they played for us in the past!

The Wiki page says he can play anywhere in midfield or up front. If that is the case can he be seen as a replacement for Grant?

Either way, one out yesterday and one in today (assuming). At least Sturrock goes about his business quickly. I was a big fan of Tilson, but I used to get frustrated by our lack of movement in the summer months...

Assume this means we'll be playing two wingers this season then. That or Mr Hall is offski. Hopefully not the latter.

Decent signing by all accounts.

18 goals in his whole career, guess he is more of a provider than scorer. Says he can play anywehre across the midfield so again would suggest we are going to work with a smaller squad but with players who can play in a number of positions.

To be fair, a number of those were on loan from Sheff Utd, and they obviously thought he was worth keeping around. Has always played games wherever he's gone too by the looks of things, but haven't seen much of him myself.

Seem to remember Hurst getting a cracking goal for Chesterfield in our 4-3 win there in 05/06.

On another note I retweeted a tweet from the Transfer Market Feed last night which suggests Freddy will be signing a two-year deal with us shortly. Don't know if this is gospel or not but fingers crossed!

Good news is Kevan's signing (maybe) will mean Bilel won't be used on the left wing anymore.

Also means Dave Martin has competition and will hopefully bring him up a level or two.
