And I know plenty who agree with me including other committee members
Dunno why you're coming in for some stick. Always thought you did a lot for uniting the fans and your work with the Trust and BV was/is appreciated.

More to do with broken promises. A dedicated number of committee members have really put themselves out to make sure that planning was sorted and tickets for coaches were available, and that the transactions were completed safely and professionally. I respect that not every one was able to do that, but feel that if someone says they're going to, then it's poor form not to turn up nor to make apologies.
As a committee member, I feel that fellow members should, whenever possible, try to support meetings and events. Gareth was one who tried being on the committee and found that the job entailed more time than he was able to give because of work commitments, he also tried to get a darts tournament organised. These kind of things don't just happen, and there's work involved which all too often falls very heavily on very few numbers. That's not a dig at Gareth, he did at least give things a go, but just an illustration that it's not the doddle some people think it is.
That was how those involved in sales took it, otherwise why bother to pop in just to say hello? Did you think that was going to make the job any easier for Lesley on her own?!Yeah I said I would pop in to say hello as I was passing my plans changed this was on the back of an email asking if somebody wanted to keep her company
So AGAIN tell me where I have said I am selling tickets????????
My dad was a member before me (so was my mum), and persuaded me to go along on an away trip which, IIRC, is when I joined up. I'd not really been aware of it before and it coincided with me getting a season card again for the first time in many years. This thread has more views then all the other trust threads put together, well done Ken.
Makes me wonder Kay if your failure to join up was down to the mug in charge.
I only joined the Zone because TB had started a thread asking what was wrong with the word '****' and I felt I needed to answer. Not sure about uniting people on that ocassion but I'm rarely off here now so at least he gets a reaction...Dunno why you're coming in for some stick. **** me, what an enormous load of old toss. Ron must be laughing his arse off.
Presumably you could buy him out ( along with Napster) since you're part of an Elite social class.:hilarious:
I think Naps and I could afford what the club is really worth......
I look forward to both of you joining some future consortium then.:omg2:
I base my reply on the fact that I know we could scrape up fifty quid between us.
