i've got a big decision next week now. I thought the win today would leave me safe, but the team in 5th are unexpectedly looking like they're going to beat the league leaders (who have rested players, the *******s). I'm going to be 32 points ahead of them with 2 games to play- we play each other next week, and their final game looks more winnable than mine. As it's at home, I'm thinking of setting a flat pitch and playing for the draw? opinions?

match id is 1659297 should anyone desire to have a look- i beat them by 9 wickets earlier in the season, but only by virtue of a bizarre declaration on their part.

Decided against the bid in the end, as I'd struggle to get him a fielding next until next season. Will bide my time and get the right man, maybe a 18/19 year old superb/quality bowler instead that isn't a spinner.

It all went pear shaped for me today.

After bowling them out yesterday for 269 I declared at 490ish for 1 - a nice double century and a 150 for two batting trainees :D I was looking forward to watching them crumble all afternoon but it just didn't happen. Over 300 before the first wicket fell :(. Currently 360ish for 1 and unless I take quick early wickets tomorrow this has a draw and 7th place in the league written all over it.

Well I expected my oppo to declare and try and force a win, but he seems content to continue smacking my bowlers to all parts

3 days revenue, with hardly any play, and an inning vcitory on day 3... its the perfect combo!

Hope you make a better fist of your defensive batting than Toddy did!

Hehe!

** sniggers quietly **

:D

And as predicted Jackman (4-6) and Guy (3-7) did the damage nice and quickly and saw me net £80,000 today!

The GS's win by an innings and 873 runs!

:)

Tell Mrs BB to get a jog on. She needs as much as fitness left as poss for her big game from Tues-Thurs where she will beat those Cricket Genuises out of sight! C'mon Dibs! I want to do the double!

:D

Pathetic :( Most of this team are now up for sale as they just can't cut it. Admittedly, we've had the worst of the conditions, but just not good enough really.

I think you're going to be in luck. As she's now pretty safe in her OD league, I would expect her to put out a full-strength side next week.

I lost by an innings and loads
