The first two seasons look very dated because they are very dated. But Fawlty Towers looks very dated. The comedy itself still stands up though.

Yeah they do look dated as you'd expect for being, what, 15 years old now? But I meant that the humour itself is a bit dated. I think it's just a slight issue I have with lots of comedy of this ilk; Blackadder, Hitchhikers guide, Terry Prachett and, to a lesser extent nowadays, Family Guy

Its all a bit wordy? Lots of sentence construction you'd never say in real life for looking like a public school boy. I love words when they're used unexpectedly like in "Peep show", I just always found these shows a bit laboured and over-scripted.

Whereas Fawlty Towers, Yes Minister, Open all hours etc has transcended time due to being a lot more natural dialogue. But thats just me...
