Oh success I'm this league is still possible. But another two or three weeks of performances like tonight's and it's realistically over. Whilst success in the league is still on, the management and the player's need to pull their socks up and sort it out. Bad tactics and below par performances need to stop. Now.

I can understand why so many negative comments , Southend are really a frustrating team to follow, always have been and i suspect always will be. Maybe thats why we love them ,and HURT when they lose, what we need is 11players out on that ground ,wearing the Southend shirt with the passion in their bellies ,that all the supporters have in theirs.

Indeed we need to get back some form or we will drift away, a if we dont pick up a decent amount of points over the next few games even the playoffs will be gone.

That's shocking, conceeding 2 goals to a poor Barnet side and not even scoring all game is not good enough.

Another year in this sh** northern league.

nearly 9 years ago I was in the Nou Camp and saw Davids pulling the strings for Barca against an up and coming Villareal team, who had Coloccini in their team keeping Ronaldinho in his pocket. Seeing Ronaldinho had such a stinker I bought a Barca shirt with DAVIDS on the back instead.

Little was I to know that some years later Davids would score the winner against us....for F**king Barnet!!!!

Best post I've read all night!! haha

At least Tomlin is back jogging .... need him back and hitting top form ASAP!

The success of making Wembley (which is a great achievement of course) has briefly masked the fact that we've been pretty **** for a while.

Plenty of games and points to play for. No need for too much depression. A bad result yes but certainly not season ending

We are missing Tomlin, Timlin and Laird. We do not have the depth to cover the loss of three important players week in week out.

Exactly this. We haven't had a decent performance in the league since Boxing Day imho!

Boxing day was our 3-0 win against daggers, our league form since then is - LLLWWDLLWL

The 10 league games before Burton we didn't lose. So yeah, you're pretty accurate there.

We've definitely missed Tomlin.

Best news tonight was that Fleetwood and Cheltenham drew, thus losing two points each. Play off position is only five points away with a game in hand...... we've got to win that game, of course.......

We also can't just turn up thinking we can walk over these teams. We aren't real Madrid and this over confidence against lower league teams could cost us!!

Not bloody good enough. Simple as that. We need to turn it around and quickly. Staying in League 2 next season would be a disaster, despite the JPT Wembley day out.
