Ouss Cisse is being mentioned on twitter too from Mk Dons. Have no idea if it's true or not though. At 6 foot 4 he would definitely fit the bill of a powerful midfielder.

According to Chris Phillips, a new midfielder is all but signed.. still looking for another striker, could that still be Lyle Taylor?

I’d be surprised if we only add one more midfielder, would leave us very light there. Maybe signing this one up now then add another later in the window.

I think SCP and coaching team high rate Klass who has just signed an new contract so he will be much more involved this year. with the signing that makes 4 CM which is probably enough

I think we're short of a winger personally. Harking back to the Tilly years, a striker who can play as a winger (ala Taylor/ Vassell who I'm sure i've seen play wide against us) would be ideal.

A shame if true, but not the end of the world. They were good options but by no means head and shoulders above other options out there. Any suggestions for alternatives?

I am lead to believe we are confident in the youth system should we need to turn to someone after Yearwood, Mantom + he knew must not be named

Has he really, don't think this will be the right move for him at this stage in his career, they will be, expected to go up this season and that means he will need goals from the start, a lot of pressure at the start of the season.

I wouldn't mind the money we were prepared to spend on lyle T being repurposed towards Ricky Holmes. 19 in 58 at Charlton and can be pushed on (very attack minded anyway).

Given the ball is going to be on the ground due to the continued lack of anyone who can head the ball I can see many a back 4 (particularly CBs) not being overly excited up against a fluid 4 from Kightly, Holmes, Cox, Hopper, McLaughlin.. Robinson, Wabo, Barrett in the wings as back up. Pace everywhere.

Holmes would be a great signing, pretty sure he knows Coker well from their time at Chelmsford and as mentioned by others, he is a Southend fan.
Think he would be interested if we offered a decent contract but don't think we can compete with what others would be willing to pay.

Not within our budget, but i see Sunderland have cancelled Jack Rodwell's contract.
