Don't quote me on this, but I thought I read somewhere on SZ, that we can, but only if they are a free agent? (I may be wrong?)

However, you must wonder what quality they would be, considering if they couldn't even get snapped up on a free transfer & being without a club when the transfer window was open... how good they really are.

so unlikely to be anyone of note or experience. Guessing a youngster on loan from champ or Prem side. Not sure that's what we need at the moment
