Transfer News, Gossip & Speculation Transfer Thread - Summer 2025 Edition.

Transfer news
Taylor made quite a few errors last season but we say he is one of the best in his position in the league. If a defender never made errors he wouldn’t be in this league 🤣
Good thing about Taylor is he’ll make the error and then put in the best sliding tackle you’ll ever see to make up for it!

Isn’t that the same from every centre half, actually, player at this level. Hence why they find themselves at this level.
Gus makes tons of defensive errors but his offensive stats cover that up. Every player at this level will have their reasons for it (want to be part time, slower than other, make mistakes, not good in the air, age and tons of other things). I actually think Goodliffe was a massive reason for us getting playoffs.

I believe that Goodliffe’s build up to the final was pretty interrupted as he wasn’t well and missed a chunk of training. Might explain how he faded during the game.
I also like the way goodlife talks to the defence, I think we really missed that at times, I noticed it as soon as he came on against dagenham, yeah he wasn't great in the final but definitely think he would be a great addition of for any reason he becomes permanent

The fundamental fact is this, we are fans with divisive opinions, there is nothing riding on what we believe is the right or wrong thing to do. However, Kev's job, livelihood and reputation are all on the line.

The pressure on Kev is huge this year, so he isn't going to just settle for any old player. He stood there and watched what we watched, and if after all that he still wants to sign him, that's all that matters and that's good enough for me.

It means Kev is clearly looking at the bigger picture and not just a few isolated mistakes that anyone can make. He obviously appreciates the other qualities that Ben brings and feels they will benefit our team in a positive way. I don't know what more proof people need.

If Ben signs, we can hit the ground running. The back 3 all know eachother, there's no bedding in process. They all accumulated 4 clean sheets on the bounce leading into the playoffs, so we know they can do it.
