Wembley tickets

What's the issue? Travel? Ticket numbers? Both?
The main Wembley tube station is closed for engineering works. As a result the allocation of tickets is limited to 17.5k per club plus upto another 9k if if the club can source enough coaches to take the fans (at an additional £40 each). Now this is nonsense as.....

(1) there are an additional 2 Wembley stations in operation
(2) It ignores that fans may travel by car, bus, taxi etc to the vicinity
(3) the tubeline that is shut, the last station that is open is just 2 miles from Wembley - an easy 40 minute walk that I'm sure many would be able and willing to undertake if necessary
(4) It ignores that fans could buy a coach package and then just get the train and/or other transport means to Wembley
(5) It ignores the many fans who don't live in Southend - why do they have to buy a coach ticket from Southend to attend the game?

Best way forward is to remove the necessity for coaches, and make it widely known that fans need to allow extra time to get to and from the ground.

NL, Wembley and TFL are a total joke! Why punish the fans for what is a great occasion for both teams after what has been very difficult last few decade for both sides, we finally have an opportunity of brining all the fans together and celebrating together and yet half of the fans could miss out on what is to be a great occasion and celebration.

I really hope they up the allocation so we can all go. While me and the boy don’t have a season card we attend as many games as we can, I would love to have a season card but just can’t make it work with a young family.

Like us all me and the boy are desperate to be there, and back the team and soak up what will be an amazing atmosphere!

Praying all sides come to their senses and we can up the allocation so all fans can attend especially all the exiles from far and wide!

This is the fault of the league, not TFL

I can never remember a domestic football season still going on into June. These works were no doubt scheduled in due to it being an off peak period in the football calendar.
Agreed, they are planned months in advance, and are so regular I get e-mails every Thursday telling me what’s lines cannot be used. Wondering if Wembley are considering excluding all corporate activity to alleviate the problem.
Thought not.

I am genuinely delighted the club has sorted this out for Stan. Irrespective of what he achieved as a player with us in such a short time the role he played in getting Tim, Kev & co will never be forgotten.

However hopefully the club can also ensure that as many of us as possible can also attend…17,500 is simply not enough!
I've sent Sadiq Khan a private message along with his secretary as I've communicated with both in the past. Also posted on X and will pull a favour or two from one or two broadcasters.

It's a simple narrative for Oldham and Southend. "Big" clubs aren't hampered like this so treat both clubs same as them and let you guys have your day at Wembley, allowed to "fill the place" too.

There's plenty of avenues to go down, worry not, it can and will be highlighted plenty in the next week.

So what about season ticket holders who are going by coach ? Surely the club need to know that as it won’t eat into the 17500 allocation ?
See above - if you're booked on ShrimpersTrust (and Blues on Tour?) email the club to let them know and then you won't be in the 17.5k allocation.

Although wouldn't it be simplier if the Trust and BOT just told the club how many seats they've sold????

EDIT - ST coaches don't need to notify.

To be fair it's not as if they have much else on
A blue balloon from the other night is still stuck in a tree and they threw a broom up to try and get it and now the broom is up there also! They are saying that no home games next season till they can get it down due to the amount of tears all us home fans will cry just being taunted by it up there reminding us of what could of been!

I was on one of the coaches that we took to the LDV Vans Trophy Final back in 2005. How many coaches did we take to Cardiff back then? I know there was a month lead into the final. But they must be out there somewhere?
