Sorry if this has been asked before, but anyone think we would try for Matt Dennis again? If we did would he be in our budget range?

His contract at Carlisle was only until the end of the season so he will be / or is a free agent already, and Carlisle fans seem to think he will want a move back down south, the reason I ask.

I wouldn't turn my nose up at him, 7 goal involvements from 16 games in a relegated side is pretty decent.

He needs a club to settle at and he has done well under our coaching team before. Bonne had a reputation of not working hard, from what I've seen that has changed.

I'd be amazed if he drops down to the NL though

From what I heard about Charlie Ruff is that we were looking at him last season (23/24) as he was a consistent scorer but his work rate was poor so I don’t think we’ve ever tried to sign just watched him a few times.

Pretty sure he only wants to play part time football hence now leaving Chelmsford as they are going full time this summer.

Shame the play offs are all away. Roots Hall would have been packed out for home legs and also been a big advantage.

A Wembley appearance would also help build the coffers.

I still think that 5k season cards should be the aim for next year.

Big crowds and a top 3 aim will help player signings.

Whilst attendances may have been up some of that will have been skewed by the offer that the club put out for the final 4 homes games. Under £16s were £1 and 17 - 22 were £5.

Wouldn't be sure about him. I didn't like his attitude once Norwich extended his contract. His work rate really dropped off. Last two seasons has only played 28 games, but did score 6 for Carlisle in just 14 appearances. He is now a free agent.

There were quite a few on here that didn't want Kabongo Tshimanga when we were linked to him. Got 13 goals in league 2 this season.

Yes very odd, signed for them in October last year for the year with DF having high hopes for him. Looks like he went on loan Peterborough Sports in NL N/S, has been at West Ham and Celtic so obviously something about him, maybe a trial
Back here and see where he is at might be worth a look.

I wonder if we’re aware of Josh hedges from Salisbury . He’s a young attacking midfielder scored 10 goals in 30 appearances the type of player we could do with .

Can’t go much from a short cameo video but the type of player we could do with good on the ball forward thinking can unlock a defence with a decent pass and chips in with goals .

Be tough competition for sure due to he’s potential but maybe worth a gamble .
