SOUTHEND United striker Danny Waldron is wanted by another National League club, Echosport understands.

Waldron joined the Shrimpers from Rushall Olympic back in January 2024 but has struggled to secure a place in the starting line-up.

The 28-year-old has not started for Blues since August and has scored three goals in 30 appearances for the club in total.

His lack of game-time has now seen him attract interest from elsewhere and the forward could be set to leave.

With them being part-time, it might suit him better. I think a lot of us forget that he gave up a good job to go full-time. Maybe he misses it, wants to go back to it or just regrets leaving it. So many things to consider in football. I wish him luck.
