Breaking News Danny Waldron joins Tamworth on loan for rest of season

Well we did see class with Wood. Contender for goal of the season last year, and went on to score a hattrick, admittedly it was a reserve team game or something... but still, he managed to find the net 3 times, more than most of our A team strikers have!
🤣🤣🤣 Come on now, he scored a hat-trick against Hashtag in the Essex Senior Cup! April Fool's isn't for a while yet...

Unless he scores 15 goals.

I’d be incredibly shocked if Waldron ever wears the Southend United shirt again.

He’d have been gone a lot earlier if we could have off loaded him.

Until now, we haven’t had the luxury to be able to offload him.

Shame it hasn’t worked out, but it hasn’t. I wish he’d stayed out on the training pitch with the likes of Bonne, Pepple & the management team, he might have found himself getting more minutes for us.

Care to elaborate?

Well, Bim knew he had “deficiencies” in his game when he first arrived. His first touch was like a trampoline in those first few games for example.

He asked the management team for help. He stayed behind after training with them, and Bonne who helped him out, and worked on those things and became a better player.

Waldron has “deficiencies” in his game, but didn’t show the same desire to work on those. Maybe desire isn’t the right word, but if he had Bim’s application, we might be talking about Waldron differently. Desire is the wrong word thinking about it, but don’t quite know how to word it. He wasn’t lazy or anything like that, don’t want anyone thinking that.

I wish him well, however I wish it had worked out differently for him and us here.

Well, that's a pity.

Thanks for elucidating.

Probably explains him not getting too involved last home game. I wouldn't want to risk injury for a manager who don't want me and also having a potential move away in the bag

I have noticed Bonne is very supportive in terms of giving guidance, advice and encouragement on and off the pitch to team mates. Seemed absolutely delighted for Kendall when he got off the mark. (And was quick to put an arm around him when he missed a sitter whilst still having not got off the mark).

Interesting as it was suggested before he came he was bit of a prima donna/disruptive ( coming from supporters at former clubs so highly unreliable).

Sometimes a club and player just click- other times the opposite.

Parillon mentioned Bonne in particular in his interview yesterday too.

Players mature & change during their careers - perhaps they become fathers or they have a manager or elder player that guides them - so that they are not always the player that they were a few years ago.

I suspect struggling to get a contract plus going down the leagues can also provide quite a stiff "reality check" on behaviour that a good agent (for example) might help the player with.
