I do get what you're saying but it is kind of ironic and a little amusing that there was an article in the echo from the goalkeeping coach about both keepers pushing each other and one day later, he's gone.

Time of social media isn’t. Constant need for content that things we wouldn’t know about happen, get resolved but in the mean time 4 articles appear about it.

Not surprised at all. It seems they have recalled him because they need him for their bench - but even so, they were very clear they wanted him loaned out to play as much football as possible and that hasn't happened with us. If I was them, I'd put him elsewhere.

Don't see why people seem to see this as an issue though - it's certainly far less of one than losing Pepple. Very easy to loan in a keeper.

Asked about Zach Jeacock's future, Maher explains: "We got a call yesterday saying Lincoln have got an injury to a keeper.

"They've brought him back.

"His loan has expired which we were going to extend which actually works OK.

"We can have him back whereas if they had recalled him from a loan he wouldn't have been able to come back to us.

"They need him and it's their prerogative because he's their player.

"I hope Zach goes and plays and hopefully we'll revisit it next week and he'll be able to join us again."

So it sounds like this might have actually worked in our favour - if I'm reading this correctly, had we extended the loan and then they recalled him we wouldn't have been able to get him back again. However as the loan had expired and he's just gone back, we can loan him in again. Is that right?

The new guy is a ex Finnish international who in his last year at Bristol Rovers combined the coaching and reserve keeper role.

Answer me this. We have 5 subs and no reserve keeper. Surely to God you would register him and have him on the bench as a 6th sub. Collin gets injured 2nd minute surely he would do a better job than any of the outfield players????
