I just think you'd be better not having to use an extra net for 3 seasons. As I said, with that extra net you could be training up a mediocre-mediocre. In 4 seasons that gets you a quality-quality, or a remarkable-wonderful in 5 seasons.

Maybe, but fielding nets should be used on ARs anyway in my opinion.

I agree, but I want to use them for only 2 seasons and to make their secondaries a couple of levels higher than their primaries, rather than the same as their primaries.

I think this is extra important on all-rounders as secondaries are cheaper than primaries. Even if you aren't hindered by an excessive wage bill at the moment, you will be in a few seasons time unless you address this now. Moreover, a lot of teams will be looking to off-load their high wage players making them cheaper to buy. IMHO wage efficiency is the most important way to get an edge in BT at the moment.

Paul Guy - 17 yo, BT Rating=7,011
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh fitness.
Wages: £1,505 p/w
A cautious player with feeble leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: woeful Wicket Keeping: respectable
Batting: competent Concentration: worthless
Bowling: respectable Consistency: woeful
Fielding: worthless

Difficult to tell, but that high wage will be very tempting to some people. Unfortunately he's not going to be sold in time for Monday's nets if he isn't already on the list, so he's effectively a week 2 pull for another team. It could be a million plus, it could be nowhere near that, its a really difficult one to call. I'd say definitely list him.

What is the highest level you can pull? I thought it was low respectable, but it must be higher than that looking at your player.

He went for £500K in the end - the price I listed him for. Oh well, certainly better than nothing a not someone worth training for me.

500k is a good price for somebody incredibly frustrating to train. I hate having to train players from mediocre stamina, let alone woeful.

YB, ideally I agree, but a fast bowling all-rounder is a great pull to get.

Can you stop arguing/debating over my player!? :D

Depending on how much money i make this (and next season) - success and cup runs make it hard to work out - i could end up training Deane for a year or possibly two and then selling him - and then bringing in an out and out batter but time will tell. If i pop another magic batter on Saturday, i could end up listing Deane straight away and seeing what price i get for him!

On this basis I've decided to offload Marriott's net at next pop. Means that I'll have 4 nets to use on two batsmen, hopefully can pull a decent one on Saturday but if not I have the money to go out and get one plus hopefully someone decent to take the No. 7 slot.

Means that the only high level players I'll be training are Plums and Richie so shouldn't suffer too much in wages next season. Both will stop in two pops time. Then my wages should be fairly stagnant for a couple of seasons.

No longer after a WK, hope to just pull one Saturday or next season. Bought a new bowling trainee to let me rest Rennie in FC yet play 5 bowlers.

Just picked up my other batting trainee.

Conor Sinethemba (2298025)
LH Batsman, LM Bowler, mediocre batting form, mediocre bowling form, lively fitness.
A destructive player with woeful leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: ShrimperZone CC
Nationality: England
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 5,923 (-445)
Wages: £1,073 p/w

Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: respectable Concentration: feeble
Bowling: woeful Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: worthless

Competent stamina will add a touch, as will the woeful/mediocre bowling however he's still pretty near to proficient and cost me £624k which I'm pretty chuffed with as the mediocre/respectable/mediocre players I've been chasing all week have all gone for well over £1m. One I was after this morning went to £1.5m!

Amazing, there's a med/resp/comp batsman selling for £1.22m with a wage of £788 pw. Prices are all over the shop at the moment! He's very similar to my pull in terms of wage, wish I'd sold him now if I'd known I was going to pick up Sinethemba for the price I did!
