YP

Bidding on Downing is at just £1,061,208.

Looks like I've missed out on an Aussie bidding war, although he is currently heading down under.

ps Is this the right year for u-19s or is that next season?

Would somebody around at 4.57pm today do my bidding for Downing for me? I have to go out 10 minutes before the deadline.

Here's my first YP of the season. I'm not sure whether to be pleased or not. The combination of WK and bowling is a bit of a waste. How much do you reckon I'll get for him on the TM?

Wages: £1,505 p/w

Difficult to tell, but that high wage will be very tempting to some people. Unfortunately he's not going to be sold in time for Monday's nets if he isn't already on the list, so he's effectively a week 2 pull for another team. It could be a million plus, it could be nowhere near that, its a really difficult one to call. I'd say definitely list him.

What is the highest level you can pull? I thought it was low respectable, but it must be higher than that looking at your player.

You can pull Proficients. Mrs BB's W/K was a YP, and he came out with Proficient fielding.

Picked up this fella for about 100k

By my reckoning he's 2 weeks at most from respectable, and will be my first fast-medium bowler.

There have been low proficients pulled occassionally. I have pulled plenty of high respectables in my time. Hoping for another later!

****ing hell.

A player with comp stamina, resp batting, comp conc and feeble keeping just went for 2.2m. He had a wage of 1,047, but he had comp cons as well. Madness.

Lovely! Low respectable but it gives me a player to train.

Kev

pulled a resp/comp RFM. Yeehaw my first ever decent YP. Mid 5k so is this a low resp ? Now to consider whether to train or sell. A spinner or med would definitely have been trained.

Here's my pull - can those in the know advise me whether to sell or train - I have dusty pitches.

Sell and cut my losses or throw some nets at him ? I could find three at a push and a fourth in 3-4 weeks if needed.

Your YP is 2 or 3 weeks away from proficient.

Second one is a bit of a quandry. Being an all rounder he's need to get to superb stamina. That's 50 odd weeks of stamina nets (or 3 to 4 levels of primary!), personally I wouldn't bother.

Also, if with that WK, he's probably a low respectable bowler anyway.

So I sell and cut my losses but what do I do with YP assuming 2-3 nets ?

2 bowling, 1 fielding if you've got three nets spare. Alternatively you could up his stamina.

I'd prefer 2 bowling and 1 stamina and not give him the fielding net until he was 19. His consistency improves more at 19 than at 17, so it is more efficient to wait until then to give him the fielding net.
