As I understand it, Sainsburys have to keep the store in town, it was part of the agreement to them having the superstore at roots hall.

really? wow didnt know that, surely over time they'll work a way around that, surprised that they want another store so close, maybe it was just to stop tesco(taking over the world) from getting it.
