When a group of people rise up in self-righteous indignation, you know you have touched a sore point. By the way, prepare for a delayed kick off. The Whingers bus will probably fall over when going slowly round a roundabout near the stadium. It will hold its tyres and claim it has been the victim of a dreadful obstruction in the road.

So, you play the mighty Wycombe Whingers synchronized diving team, eh? Some of you will know this but, for those who have not had the "pleasure" of watching Wycombe, you are in for a dreadful shock. Their stock-in-trade is to dive and feign injury on a truly industrial scale. Astonishingly, they rival even the loathsome Satanage in this respect. At every opportunity you will see their players fall to the ground for no reason at all, clutching their heads, thighs, legs, and ankles, even their shoe laces, to bring the game to a halt and to win a "foul". You will be appalled. If you have any contacts in your club, you must draw their attention to this (I expect they know already) and tell them to warn the league authorities so they appoint a referee who is not a gullible mug. Yes, I know, such creatures are rare in this league. But if you value your sanity, do it or you will be robbed by a display of blatant cheating that will take your breath away. You have been warned.

Whatever. From what I can see they finished on 84 points then won their semi - on that basis they are deserving of their place at Wembley. We just need to get on with the business of beating them.

Yep, all of those!

Plus, the imaginary card waving in the refs face.

They did cheated & wasting time, but karma hit them at the right time in injury time, if they didn't cheat & diving, the referee wouldn't give 2 minutes extra time!

That was poetic justice. A team who began their time wasting tactics with 20+ minutes to go and who get stuffed in time added on for their own antics - oh how delightful. It was like giving em the old cold steel, and they didn't like it up em. The late late goal gave us the momentum going into the shoot out, and now Wycombe are buried on the edge of Tombstone, where all the baddies end up!

Should have been more than 2 mins ... Officials awful

The officials were superb. Managed the game very well, didn't allow Wycombe to get away with time wasting cow he added the time on and it came back to haunt them.

Just one very strange decision - not giving a penalty for the blatant push on Corr which was identical to the one he saw from Cian to correctly chalk off Corr's header.

Any ref that doesn't award a penalty for the push on Corr does not merit a superb rating. It looked nailed on at the time to me, and seeing it again on TV just confirms it. He was directly in line with it for God's sake.

That's the thing.

I'm not 100% convinced about either, but once you give one, you have to give the other.

Just one decision out of how many over the whole day? And did Corr or any of our players have a faultless game?

My comment at the time of the disallowed goal was that the foul for the push wouldn't have been given if it had been a defender on an attacker. Seems I was right. There needs to be a close look at the reluctance of officials to penalise fouls in the box by defenders. If it leads to an epidemic of penalties for a while, so be it. Football is supposed to be about entertainment, a key part of which is the scoring of goals. Defences at the moment have too much the upper hand when it comes to key decisions.
