Wrestling

Used to love it as a kid - Macho Man, Ric Flair, Brett Hart etc. Now kinda grown out of it to an extent - but still watch the odd time...

Stacie Kiebler was always my favourite in recent years ;)

Ok some posts are pretty sad on here.. however, i will admit, i ****ing loved the wwf towards the end of the 90's and the early 00's..

Electrfying entertainment.. i think.

Who was the bird that was married to stone cold steve austin, scary very scary indeed.

just watched sky sports news and the big show will be taking on floyd mayweather in a match. how funny is that. not a fan of wrestling myself but would love to see that.

Can someone explain to me why intellegent(!) people would watch this fake American dross? It's not a sport in any way shape or form. It more choreographed than High School Musical with artificially pumped up bad "actors".

I just don't understand why anyone over the age of 11 would watch it!

Wrestling afficianados, please explain, cos I'd rather watch paint dry.

Good for you, mate.

I've never understood the arguement that people shouldn't watch it because it's fake. Well so are 99% of things on TV.

I don't really watch wrestling anymore (although the Royal Rumble was on when I was in New York a couple of weeks back and I would have kicked myself had I not got a ticket). I don't not watch it now because I think I'm too old for it, I just don't watch it now because it's not as good as it used to be. Guys like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley, Kurt Angle and others were as entertaining outside the ring as they were in it. The enjoyment wasn't just from the matches, it was the ridiculously over-the-top storylines and entertaining characters that gets people watching every week.

It's the ultimate male soap-opera. And it gives you the excuse to tell the people of New York exactly how we feel about our North Essex neighbours:
