Can someone explain to me why intellegent(!) people would watch this fake American dross? It's not a sport in any way shape or form. It more choreographed than High School Musical with artificially pumped up bad "actors".

I just don't understand why anyone over the age of 11 would watch it!

Wrestling afficianados, please explain, cos I'd rather watch paint dry.

It's crap now, but I really enjoyed wrestling in it's late 90s heyday. Why? That's a good question. Maybe because I like being contrary. But I think it's the overblown theatre, and that in stark contrast to real sports (especially football, Blues style), you know you're going to get a happy ending.

That's easy for me to answer - as a red blooded woman, I can look at the likes of the Rock (originally), HBK and now Batista and drool! Plus honourable mention to some of the older tag teams like the Dudleys and the Hardy Boys who were very entertaining to watch.

Agreed, Austin, Mankind, The Rock, Undertaker, Triple HHH etc. they were the days!

Haven't watched it for a long time though.

Undertaker and Triple H were both winners in the Elimination Chambers at No Way Out on Sunday night ppv, so they're both very much still around. Stone Cold and Mick Foley make the odd excursion back too.

Summed up my feelings exactly.

As an eleven year old Dad of DtS took me to watch WWF and I love it. obviously as you get older the magic soon wears off but as a kid it was good honest fun.

I know they are still in it, but the hey day was the late 90's early noughties!

The storylines were actually good back then!

Good in the old days of Hulk Hogan, Million Dollar Man, Bret Hart et al but now just seems to be ludicrous storylines and none of the characters of day gone by.

I'm a bit older and all that sort of happened when I was 17/18. I never understood it then.

Give me Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks anyday.

I could add Ulitmate Warrior, British Bulldog, Superfly Jimmy Snuka, Macho King Randy Savage and my personal favourite Hacksaw Jim Duggan - Woooo
