The Canadians now move from the French part of the country to my doorstep where they take on the Ruskies at the Air Canada Centre on saturday night puck drops at 7.00 pm.
saturday looks like it will be a long day shrimpers in the morning,3 lions in the afternoon and the maple leaf in the evening,the missus is gonna love that.gonna be paying for a long time.

No, we didn't lose to Italy during the Olympics... we lost to them in a game before the olympics.

However, we did lose to Puerto Rico, Lithuania, and Argentina. Sad couple of weeks for US Basketball

Can someone go over the way the division's were sorted out for me, cos geographically, the N American one is wrong.

The North American Division only has two North American teams becuase there are only two NA countries that play hockey and it would be strange to have six countries in one division and two in the other. Maybe they just call it the NA division because all the games in that division are being played in either St. Paul or Toronto.

well now the dust has settled after the round robin games the quarter finals are:
   North American Group
  Canada-v-Slovakia (wed 7.00pm et)
  Usa-v-Russia  (tue 7.00pm et)

  European Group
Sweden-v-Czech (tue 1.00pm et)

and this afternoon finalnd were the first team into the semi finals with a 2-1 win over germany,the winning goal coming from Mikko Eloranta with 3.22 left in the 3rd period.
