Work On The New Training Ground Has Started Today 11th July 2022

If I'm critical here, while I understand the interest here in the new training grounds being made, but the requests of new pictures won't show anything new or anything more exciting that the works actually starting, it's currently just dirt and diggers. I'm sure once there is actual progress, maybe the club, or the company themselves doing the work or someone here will post an update with pictures and progress.

But are you being critical or…?

I wonder whether there are fans at Scunthorpe, Walsall, Brentford, Wigan, Huddersfield, York City, Col Ewe, Reading and Oxford, who hanker after their old grounds?

Yeah, I know you can't stand still.
Yeah, I know the facilities at the Hall are wanting.
Yeah, I know we have to move if we're to stand a chance of Championship football again.

But I sincerely hope our new home has a little bit of soul. Something that makes it distinguishable from the other Lego kits.
Sigh...

Spot on. A lot of these new “arenas” (feel like calling them grounds makes them feel more homely than they are) offer tinny acoustics and a sterile experience. Would be amazing to feel like we will still be able to generate the “Roots Hall Roar” in the new abode.

Doesn't sound to me like you're being critical at all. In fact, you're absolutely right. It might argued that you're being a bit cynical, but again I think you're right.

Doesn't mean I don't want to see pictures though!

Just wondered when the training ground work is complete ( October I think) what happens next? Has there been an official stadium start date issued by the club ? Do the diggers stay on site or will they be loaded up and taken away.

Good to see theyve already installed the portacabins. Will feel just like home from home at the new training facility.!! (I am joking .... I hope!)

Got the same pictures myself.
Actually looks like they have cleared a lot of the ground already and moved a lot of earth.
Odd one to monitor in that nothing is 'going up' as it were.
