Really happy with this signing, and he isn’t being viewed as a back up to GSM, he is competition, and if he gets in ahead of GSM then what a player he is.
What I also like about this signing is the future proofing. GSM was player of the season last season, and has had some admiring glances from higher up the food chain. If one of them swoops, we have a ready made replacement as opposed to scratching around trying to bring one in. Quite basic stuff, but something we haven’t really done for years.
