I was wrong in saying it was to appease fans if season went belly up. However I did not criticise the fans being back in there. It was a good thing. At least I hold my hands up to that.

Was not saying you were criticising just that your facts are fiction

I'm sure in truth Fred would give us a little consideration in terms of joining Blues but theres also an element of spin surrounding his public views on this ij the Echo. To try and gain the right kind of buzzing atmosphere for the play offs. And probably to get him noticed again. I'm not ruling out completely he'll join Blues but if/when better paid offers come in for him from elsewhere I don't think he'll stay here. Which makes a mockery of his earlier words that he's desperate to join his home town club again. He's not short of a few bob so in that respect he'd gladly take the cut and sign immediately. Will he do that , no. If he does sign for Blues it'll be late on in the summer when he's digested all offers and options. What I know of him and his comments stays with me and my people . Not for subject on here.

I personally wouldn't blame him if he wanted to go somewhere he could get the ball to feet.

It's not Liam's fault that whilst he is in the team PS finds the need to instruct everyone to hit him with every ball. The problem isn't who we have, it's what order they are put in an what they are told to do. Most managers would have loved to have last years squad and would have taken them up. I don't think we need to change many personnel, just the top one.

Angel I'd go along with that. TB. Tara exit was that fiction. My Knowledge of freddy and his lack of chances to inspire us. whas that fiction. Some times people are wrong sometines they're right. But these two in particular I knew of. Get over not going up this season.

Did I say at the end there not going up. Didn't I say that at the time when being mullered. Hit a nerve there I think.

Mate your claims regarding the north bank are simply WRONG - I dont care about anything else in your crystal ball

As for get over not going up? you really think I care that much? The football always has and always will be a side show for me

Furthermore Freddy was not a Sturrock signing. The idea was Gary Lockett's sanctioned by Ron Martin. It wouldn't have surprised me if they knew the team were going to fall short so bringing in Freddy and opening the north bank was designed to appease the fans as much as possible for when the non-promotion was confirmed. They'll say at least we tried certain things and to a degree maybe they were right to do so but Freddy was not going to work.

Where do you get this drivel from?

But for the width of a goalpost, Mohsni directing a header a foot either side of the keeper, we'd be at Wembley Sunday & still in with a very good shout of going up. You make it sound like there was a conspiracy to deliberately not get promoted.

I can't be bothered to check, but was it you that said Benson had a season ending illness just before he signed for Swindon?

Truthfully thats how it is for me really. I apologise for the NB thing I've already said I was wrong on that. Honestly it was a great idea on your behalf and othrs who park themselves there should be very thankful to you indeed for that.

Without getting involved in a row, who honestly do you think would come to us, with the financial rstraints, that may need to be applied.

Do we go for a manager in the Conference and hope he turns out to be a diamond or at worse finds the step too far, do we again take a massive chance on someone like Tilson, who had little experience but somehow with a decent No 2 got the players rallied around and turned the club into one of its most successful periods and I suppose some will say worse as well
Now if we go for a Tilly option we must hope he finds a Freddy who was hungry and a Gower to supply the assists and a Maher to drive the mid field, thats in a space of three months, thats without a Barrett to be captain marvel (No I donot think the current squad has any of these)
Or do we employ a manager who is looking to get back into work and drop us as soon as anotehr club comes in for him

Sometimes we need to take stock and really realise we have a decent manager in PS, I agree the football has been and canbe dire, but at least we were there at the end, will it bring in new fans, I doubt it, but then again the crowd has allways been fickle, and like every club will have a hard core base and floaters to make the difference between survival and admin.
If had produced this standard of football and we were struggling, I could understand the complaints, but to be in the play offs was an achievement in its self, and whether the players are not good enough to move up the leagues or Crewe were simply too good for us over two legs is a different discussion

I could not agree more. Numerous times PS admitted errors and for someone with his experience and seniority that number of mistakes is unacceptable. The players must have been like headless chickens under ineffectual tactics laid upon them and seriously odd team selections.

It sounds then that his mistake is to acknowledge those mistakes. He should have blamed the ref like every other manager does.
