Wignall autobiography blasts Ron Martin

I agree with the comments about him laying the foundations for Tilly's success. He brought in Gower, and Wilson. Two very big players in what Tilly has achieved.

I can never forgive him for the Boston game at home. Losing 2-0. The worst game of football I have ever witnessed.
Wilson? Are you sure? He was very average.

I'd be interested to know how many of the signings were done on the recommendation of Stewart Robson - he couldn't hack it as a coach with us but he knew his stuff as a player - and how many were down to Wignall. I have a fair idea which of them wanted which player in .....

I've read a review copy. It's fairly interesting. He basically slags off everyone, including Tilson, who he laughingly calls disloyal, and especially Ron. He doesn't accept any blame for what happened and if it hadn't been for that Boston defeat, we may have had a full backroom staff of ex Col Ewe.

We'll have a review in All At Sea next month.

so then all you fans that hide behind computers, are you off to basildon with eggs in your pockets, when he turns up for a signing session??

Is this the same Stewart Robson that used to ponce about in suede cowboy boots?

Surely in his day to day activities he would have to return stray balls or do a couple of tricks to show the players that he has 'still got it'?

Anyone who played football at school in the 80's wearing fake reptile skin slip on shoes with a decorative gold bar/chain will tell you how much of a handicap wearing the wrong shoes is.

I would imagine suede cowboy boots are the worst footwear anyone involved in football could possibly wear with the possible exception of novelty carrot/monster feet slippers.

Only so that he can refer it to his lawyers to search for defamatory comments and potentially sue!

I'm sure the publishers would have gone through it already.

As it happens, I'm writing a book on Vic Jobson, the fat liar. You can't libel the dead.

The burning question is:

Will this particular publication outsell either Football Fables or Anthea Turner's autobiography?
