Wignall autobiography blasts Ron Martin

Haha!! Love this place, most people haven't even read it, and still show their blind arse licking love for Ron Martin.

er...where? Seems to me quite logical that people would favour Ron's decision to axe Wiggers...well except Wignall himself.

No matter what the book says about the sacking or the reasons for it, I'm extremely grateful for the day that Ron looked questioningly into Wignall's eyes, and failed to see the passion.

Anyone who picks a GK just because he has hands the size of dinner plates is always a bit worrying, especially when those hands are covered in Teflon.

Still love that moment when RM said "I couldn't see the passion in his eyes" - makes me chuckle to this day!

Way back in that crazy, mad, youth of our lives, the autumn of 2003, we merrily made our way out of Kidderminster's ground, the first away win of Wignall's tenure under out belt.

We happily strolled to the club bar and as we did so saw the vision that was Stevie W. Delighted, as we made our way through the doors, we asked how pleased he was. "Not very" scowled our Wiggers, "a few of the lads aren't on the coach". That was it. No other emotion, no talk of the game, no nothing.

When we got to the bar, the usual suspects of Kevin Maher and Marky Gower were at the front, and Leon Cort waved me over (my capacity to name-drop knows no bounds). I mentioned that Wiggers was miserably waiting outside. "Feck him" was the retort. "We won, we're thirsty, we're hungry, he won't be around much longer, he can fecking wait for us."

I wonder if his version of that special day differs? That's how I remember him, like a miserable dad waiting for his daughter to come home while she's necking some bloke behind the back of the Foresters or something. And Carl Emberson.

The attempt at humour is noted (and actually made me smile), however, I was actually trying to be serious. The disadvantage of being a exile.

Under Steve Wignall's (Wiggy ?) guidance, we was on a downward spiral, perfomances and attendance's were p*ss poor and we were losing bucket loads of cash each week, and in a real danger of eventually going out of business.
So of course there would have been divisions within the club, and good on Ron Martin for dumping the crap manager.

At the end of the day, look where we are now and look where Steve Wignall is now and what he has reverted to.

Did he not do the same with Doncaster?

I agree with the comments about him laying the foundations for Tilly's success. He brought in Gower, and Wilson. Two very big players in what Tilly has achieved.

I can never forgive him for the Boston game at home. Losing 2-0. The worst game of football I have ever witnessed.

You have to admit he did bring in the backbone of the team that secured us promotion the next season. However, in my opinion he was just S***e!
