Wiggy's ratings!

:thump: francis 9 ????
was you at the game he was dreadful from my seat in the south lower.
you never cease to suprise me wiggy
Thought Francis was our 2nd best player today behind Maher who controlled everything, as per usual.

If only Francis was class going backwards he would be a premiership level defender in my opinion. As it is he is definately useful going forward, and not so bad going back.

Maher 4 crab, crab, crab, crab, you got him out the side once Tilson, showed some bottle and now we have got him back and his influence is negative and not good to watch, give the ball away a lot as well

agreed!!!!!

Collis 5 not much to do, one ridiculous parry when Flavs would have caught it, little attempt to stop the goal
Hunt 4 how does he get away with it, twice tried to usher the ball out for a goal kick and twice the attacker retrieved it, shows how poor he is
Francis 9 mom. Class act, good on ball, good movement, good distribution, shows how clueless Tilson is to have left him out of team recently
Barrett 5 showed that this division is about his limit, left back not his position and poor substitute for Hammell, Tilson takes the blame again, another genuine player playing in the wrong position.
Clarke 8 player of the year for me already, hardly ever has a bad game
Maher 4 crab, crab, crab, crab, you got him out the side once Tilson, showed some bottle and now we have got him back and his influence is negative and not good to watch, give the ball away a lot as well
Bailey 6 still not as good as he was but got a bit more involved 2nd half
Macca 5 Another one out of position and it shows, Tilson blamed again
Gower 5 Inconsistent performances lately but still classy enough to earn a place, need him in the team as he is the only creator
Morgan 6 not great but he has pace, unfortunately he is in the worst team in the division to utilize it with our ridiculous crab like midfield
Charlie Mac 6 tries hard and some nice touches although the manager likes to play the high ball to the smallest bloke on the park
Hoops 6 burst in to life as soon as he came on and missed a sitter but at least he was there, convinced he is good but will never know with this manager

Tilson 1 you really showed how poor a manager you are today, without a Freddy, Leon, inspired Flavs to get you out a hole, ideas and tactics are pathetic!

I hope I don't sit anywhere near this muppet as there maybe 'strong words' exchanged. I can appriciate an opposing 'opinion', but blind stupidity or just reaction seekers are intolerable.
In my 'opinion', hunt is playing very well and generally underated. if Maher plays badly, so does the whole team - underlines his importance in the team. a rock.
to an extent I agree that daryll is the better keeper but only just. we are at least blessed in having 2 decent keepers.
gower is a real jeckall and hyde character. the less desirable of the 2 is turning up just recently.
Tilly bashing is completely unjust. name one replacement that would do better on our budget and would be willing to come here? is that silence I hear? Tilly and Brush have raised the bar and now we judge them by their own achievements and always expect better.

You are completely wrong, Darryl is different class to Collis, Hunt has been average at best, did you compare him today with the bloke he has been keeping out of the team Simon Francis, and the team were different class when Tilly had the bottle to drop Maher. Don't think many would argue with them 3 points!

sorry mate but hunt is not playing well. at donny he was terrible and should have been dropped today, not put into the centre of defence where we are also suffering. its time to stop the excuses and open our eyes.

Simon Francis today played OK. probably warranted 6/7 outh of 10. The fact he stood out above everybody else in most peoples view is down to the fact the rest of the team would struggle to justify a place in a Sunday mornig side on that showing

admittedly I wasn't at donny but from what I hear of the match, the entire team should be dropped! Since when does one bad performance mean a player is dropped? a run of 3 or 4 bad performances and maybe. substitute during the match if it isn't working, fine. but what I have seen of hunty, particuarly against oldham, he deserves his place in the starting 11. today I thought he was one of our better players but it didn't take much today!

in that case then he was terrible at gills and donny and apparently very bad today! drop him

Either your expectations are too low or mine are too high !!! How can anyone think that that Francis played that well that he was worthy of 9 out of a 100 let alone 9 out of 10 ! and why do you think Clarke is awesome and already Player of the Year , sure he is an honest pro and makes good blocks but for Chrst sake watch what he does with the ball .... watch closely ... make a mental note to watch in the next few games .. like I have been for the last few and you will see that he constantly gives the ball back to our opponents and puts us under pressure again and again .

On reflection 9 was too high, maybe 8 and Clarke has always had poor distribution but stands out over Barrett by far. Who do you put forward as poty so far?

Sorry mate but IF you are being serious you really do need some medication on both counts.

On reflection, I guess my initial reaction was a little heat of the moment. It just winds me up that certain players come in for flack because they seem to have been singled out to be a whipping boy. Hunt today, in my opinion was no better or worse than the rest of the team, but I still think he was up in the top 3 or 4 players today, but he should take no pride from that!
As I said, I didn't see him at Donny or Gills for that matter, but based on our different opinions today, I suspect I wouldn't have been so critical of him in those games, but I guess we'll never know! As a gauge though, I would be interested Matty, in what your thoughts were of Hunt in the Oldham game, to see if we at least follow the same pattern.
Against Oldham, I thought Hunty was very good and yes, better than I have seen Francis play this season.
Today was a very disappointing performance, but lets move on and hope the bad run ends very soon!

Hunt had a decent game today and is useful as a centre-half because his reading of the game is good.

Francis was a mixed bag - occasionally Premiership class, particularly the crossfield pass he sprayed to Morgan or Gower (can't remember which) - but also guilty of a few non-league-esque lapses in concentration. He was one of our better performers today, though.

Who do you put forward as poty so far?[/QUOTE Just because Clarkes distribution has always been "poor" makes it no better does it ? In fact it shows a huge chasm in our tactics because even although T and B must also know that he cant find a Blue shirt very often in percentage terms we employ tactics that involve Clarke playing long balls out of defence !! And the fact that you rate him as better than Barrett doesnt make him a great player does it ? As for my POTY so far , Bailey.

And Bailey has gone right off lately as well, few driving runs, not as competetive, must be Captain Crabs influence!

I also thought Francis was our star man!

Time for Flavs to come back in me thinks, Collis' confidence must be at an all time low.

Why is it we only start playing after conceding the first goal. If this is the case, why dont we start 1 goal down at the start of every game?

To be honest when did we last win a game and play well? We played very poor against Swindon and Huddersfield and got the right result.

There's just no team spirit out there on the pitch, you can tell lots from the players body language.

The season is just getting worse and one man is to blame, Mr Tilson!

:(

i do not understand why so many people have it in for hunt. I actually think he has earnt his place in the team and is 1 of the more consistent players inour squad! Bailey is my POTY so far also. Francis was extremely poor in my eyes today
