Why does our Club Shop have no stock?

We've begged and begged for this sort of stuff and were promised there would be things in for Christmas.

From our Liaison Meeting Minutes of March this year:

TL went on to say that part of the terms of the new contract, would be to have an increased number of ‘line items’ (currently 30, but to be increased to 50), and that the minimum number of replica kit orders placed by Macron – this should deal with the issues around availability. Special items, such as Christmas jumpers, would also be part of the commitment. There would also be more frequent meetings between Club and Macron representatives to ensure everything is running smoothly and that stock levels are maintained.
Perhaps the club aren't pushing it because if it explicitly states it in the contract and Macron fail to adhere to the terms it could be good grounds for the club to claim breach of contract. Get some money back on this years portion for failure to adhere and to exit the contract...

Is there anything thing stopping the club doing their own merchandise such as player T-Shirts, signed photo's etc, items that Macron don't do.

In regards to calendars I have always though football teams should do them in line with the season instead of Jan-Dec so you don't have the second half of the year with pictures of players who have left in the summer.

Fill in the feedback. We need to exit Macron
Done. I estimate the club has probably lost £100-200 in spend this year between me and my missus.

I've bought all three kits this year, plus a polo top, and was willing to buy more!

We'll be looking for some SUFC related home bits soon, like pint glasses, a beer runner, Roots Hall street sign, none of which are available through SUFC's shop.

I brought three Spurs fans along to the Charlton game. They met me in the Club shop pre-game and were keen to buy two hats and a scarf between them - absolutely nothing available. Just reinforced how tin pot we appear to be on the surface to third parties.
did you buy that keyring torch in the end? Or that small third shirt?

I have just filled in the feedback form too.

The club are missing out on so much revenue here, it is unreal. I find it hard to believe that Justin Rees seemed surprised at the extent of the problem and that there can be any defence of Macron by the club at all.

Surely the staff in the club shop have communicated the problems to the upper echelons of the club?

Signed photos are available - not sure if through the store or directly on club website.

No doubt this has been brought up at the liaison meetings - it such a shame that when the club wants to become sustainable, discretionary spend can assist this and merch is a big part of it.

Always remember the stat back in the day that Manure made more on bedding per year than Macclesfield did in their whole organisation!

this

that's why the feedback form was

**** poor really.

Im surprised that with so many successful businessmen in the consortium nowone has realised that week in week out people want to give the club money but theres nothing to buy.
It amazes me as well S, if they can get the right deal with the right company they could take in thousands especially at Christmas and start of season period.

I'd be pretty certain they've realised it - but it's how you fix it quickly that is probably the issue. As with everything they need to prioritise both in terms of financial implication and ease of implementation

They had pint glasses in store the other day. Nothing for a baby though and the polo my 15 year old son wanted was only in 3xl and bigger with no new delivery before Christmas. We are catering for those with beer bellies only.

This year, for the first time in nearly 20 years, i have not got a replica shirt and i often get both home and away. It's not for the want of trying, I've been online and to the shop many times but not been able to get a 3XL shirt in any of the 3 colours.

Most disappointing

Not sure I'll bother for this season now.

Hoping for better next season, loosing such revenue is so not where we need to be.
