watford,....had many a violent confrontation with watford fans in the 70s,as did many a blues fan those days.i was even thrown out of watfords ground 3 times in one game, the 4 th time i got in, i threw my "yellow"jumper away.was ok thenso learnt a few things about watford, first being watford police ars not colour blind, watfords ground is a dump, the town of watford makes mogadischu(somalia)look"up market" & watford fans are born bankers

Just put these three points to a Watford fan at work.

He says - not as bad as it used to be, fair enough and fair enough.

They're the most local Football League to me at the moment and must admit if the kids wanted to support them I probably couldn't have too much of an argument. Have signed them up to Junior Blues though, so hopefully they'll see sense

Perhaps I take particular notice when I spot them as my dislike for Col Ewe is so strong. I'm guessing West Ham would win a poll like this on your message boards by miles then?

Sarfend, Spurs & Brentford would be fighting for third place after West Ham (runaway winners) and Orient.

The west ham club shop doesn't really bother me, don't think it will be turning any Southend fans into West Ham ones or influencing kids too much. The real worry is them moving to Stratford and there being affordable premiership football just 20 odd minutes away on the train, still find it hard to have any animostity towards them as whenever I encounter their fans when we are both on away days at motorway services etc they are always interested in how we are doing and want us to do wellpatronising.

FTFY

Would be nice for them to win something other than a wooden spoon I suppose.

don't hate anyone, dislike the disparity of riches between Premiership and lower league football. Makes it impossible to achieve on merit anymore.

Brighton and Watford......real bad feeling between us in the 70's, but funny enough I don't resent them the success they are both are having now. As football clubs they have wiped the floor with us.

Agree to this. The simple fact is West Ham are close geographically and the fact that they have a big support base in Essex isn't their fault. Unfortunately it just reflects on the modern football that people want to follow bigger clubs more than their local team. I don't really like or dislike West Ham. I just see them as irrelevant to us but like most people on here, I know a few West Ham fans in and around Southend and they all take an "interest" in Southend and know what's going on at the club; it's just a shame they didn't opt for their local team.

Crawley , because they were just horrible in L2 , and Yeovil , simply because when i saw them a few years back they were incredibly dirty and that just got to me.

all i Rembember from Yeovil is them bringing about 15 fans to our playoff final to support us ... but yes ! , recent years they have been very dirty

Col Ewe all day long pathetically supported club who annoyingly are punching above their weight and in the div above us! Took great pleasure in us beating them to the League One title in 06 an watching the Goat smash 2 past them when we beat them at home!
