Which players would you let go at the end of this season?

Assume you have carte blanche and all players are out of contract in June.

I look around the squad and wonder who would be part of a title winning team/squad. I wouldn’t be sad to lose 90% tbh.
Agreed.

That's why I wanted the vote to be carte blanche, as unfortunately it looks like we are going to be stuck with a number of bang average under performing players on contracts a few never should of been given.

I'm surprised some say we don't need wholesale changes and we aren't far off having a good side. I think that's exactly what we need unfortunately. We need to be as ruthless as possible this summer. I'd bin off at least 10 of them If we could. No more sentiment, no more ex-players coming back. I'm praying COSU can find a way to "mutually agree" the termination of some contracts. A large number of them look gone mentally let alone ability wise. Time to say Thanks and clear the decks, or we will be stuck here forever, with attendances sliding rapidly.

I don't see many if any leaders, warriors, change the gamers or enforcers. The type successful teams of ours have been built around in the past. I hope COSU address this early doors upon the seasons conclusion and make me and thousands of others want to part with my £400+ for a season card again.

Our amazing support needs and deserves a team to feel proud of, a team to connect with and get behind. Quite frankly that bond we built up during the Rat era has long gone and the players aren't running through brick walls anymore. Time for ruthless change I'm afraid.

Most of the squad are under contract so it’s all very hypothetical. Aka a waste of precious time
Not really. Players can be sent on season long loans, or unofficially told they probably wont get many minutes and therefore seek a transfer.

And it will be interesting to see if most of us feel the same players need to go.

(You could also argue that posting anything on a forum could be considered a 'waste of precious time' 😗)

I was actually surprised by how many I kept! Some have potential but are very inconsistent, if they weren’t I imagine they’d be playing at a higher level. I selected Miley to go for instance but early last season before his injury I thought he was our best player.

I'm one of those that doesn't think we're far away with squad to a significantly better points total. Arguably only a few key positions - mainly upfront could make all the difference. Better players coming in can up the game of players around them, hence wholesale changes imho aren't needed.

Having said that, I haven't voted to retain that many players! I think most positions can be improved upon and hence voted that way - on an individual position basis rather than on a team basis - if that makes sense.

Is there anyone with some spare time who can put up a chart of players contract lengths?! Cheers

Bridge, Husin Miley Walker and Kendall

Only after the voting did i see the results and realise about Wood and Waldron. In my mind they have already left.

I'm in the minority with Kendall. I think we can get upgrades on him and Walker. Neither have cut the mustard.

Bonne and to a lesser extend Hopper have good hold up play and can be hopefully used as the Fortuné father figure for a couple of strikers that come in.

I can't see too much upheaval though as it costs money to cancel contracts etc and I can't really see many clubs coming in for our players except maybe Gus or Leon

Kendalls the only forward i chose to keep, and that would be as a good 4th choice striker whose energy could be effective as a 2nd half sub.

I dumped 8 players, perhaps I’m not ruthless enough.
But to be honest, I think we will be lucky to get shot of 4 or 5 at best.

We are totally ****ed! Most of the players voted for are contracted till 2026!!

Been a season ticket holder for over 40 years but unsure if I’m going to renew my three season tickets for over a grand watching the same dross!! 😂
