When will the takeover go through? The Waiting Game...

And I think at least three of those Tara Bradys (and Justin may be one of them) are coming to that realization and have had enough. They are aware that they will have to write off an awful lot of money, but at least if they pull out now, that loss doesn’t get any bigger.
I believe the larger shareholders of cosu are JR and Jason Brown, if correct their continued involvement is key.

Anyone confirm?

I don’t think they’re really backing out of anything. No sale has taken place - they’ve pumped money in on the understanding that a deal will take place. They are free to walk away and then to try and go after Ron for whatever they can get. Which probably will be **** all.
They've exchanged contracts - I doubt they can just walk away - unless some conditions of the contract are not met - do we know if there are any deadlines in contract?

A meeting won’t complete the Those words are banned, nor make it say what we need it to say, nor convince the consortium that they should throw away millions more. He wants to score some cheap political victory and get a good sound bite for his social media.
Some how it's not a cheep gimmick sadly there are far to many who can't wait for the DD outcome Only time will tell

Many conditions of that contract have not been met. They can walk away I would think.
I guess what I mean is, we know sale is conditional on council and Ron agreeing the financials -but is there a deadline that needs to be concluded by in the sale contract? Otherwise whilst that process is ongoing I can't see how they can walk away - stop funding quite possibly.

I thought that was what JR was alluding to on BBC - that if they walked away it wouldn't be their decision - ie it would be because the council and Ron can't get the financial agreement to work.

Yeah that makes sense. You could well be right. I will see what I can find out.

The protest group ask some good questions.
There is an ‘assumption ’ that the council and the 5 specialist firms are ‘dragging their feet’

We don’t know what time frame they are working to, and what caveats come with that time frame.
Ie x weeks from the point that they were/are given the information that they expected/requested. As others have intimated, the clock only starts from the point of having FULL information.

We also don’t know the timeline for what happens after Those words are banned is done. I ‘assume’ ( always dangerous’) that ‘someone’ has to read the reports and ‘someone’ then has to make a decision whether to agree to the deal, negotiate amendments or flatly refuse it.

Then assuming ( that word again) the council are happy with the deal how long does it then take to complete? Plus are there any other stages that I have missed?

There is more to this than Those words are banned complete, sale completed next day

I’m maybe a bit more optimistic than others here - possibly more through hope and certainly not through any insider info.

I’d hope that the recent pressure will push the DD through to completion in the next few weeks - or that the consortium will be better informed of why it’s delayed (eg Ron). I can’t see them walking before then and if that comes back positive then we are good?

The challenge would be if there was a requirement to restructure following DD (eg less quality in the housing) and needing Ron to agree to something quickly. Surely this is where the pressure to Ron that it’s that or bin the lot has to come into the equation? It would only delay in reality, but surely a few years delay and he’s bankrupt - interest in £45m at the moment won’t be cheap.

It all has to play out over the next month. If Justin doesn’t go to sit next to Ron in the rolls building then we are done. And Ron is done.

surely if the sale goes tits up and the club is no more , then surely the COSU and any other debtors can take Ratface to court for money owing, and being that he dosent have any money and is in hock up to his rat eyes then FF and RH can be sold by the justice system to pay off his debts. Therefore leaving the rat with nothing but holes in his trouser pockets. After all he you bought a car on time payments and missed a few payments they would repossess the car and sell it at auction to recoup their money surely same could happen here ,Giving the COSU a chance to buy RH outright. Yes we wouldnt have a club for a while but we will rise again and in good hands .

I don't think the consortium have any interest in investing in a phoenix club.

Doesn't work like that. If there is no SUFC then RH becomes a valuable piece of real estate. At the moment RH is worth a lot more than FF because FF has no PP granted but RH has 500 houses.

It would be RH that would be sold to pay Rons debts. If that happened then COSU wouldn't be offered it cheap and they wont be paying £25m+ for it either.

Not sure why people still think the answer is a phoenix club. Clearly the best and now the only option is for the deal to progress asap.
