There have been too many ups and downs to celebrate anything for me until it's done but I can't reiterate enough my thanks to Mr Cowan, Ms Firth, Sir Stanley, all staff and players and the consortium for even getting us this far.

Agree - but maybe something along the lines of the club having certain matches where they provide the council with a meaningful number of tickets for disadvantaged kids and their parents/foster parents/ carers. Such schemes have a strong social care dimension and perhaps that sits well with council objectives? Only an idea after a few G&Ts so don’t shoot me.,,

We've agreed Heads of Terms (the principles under which we will test a proposal through DD).

The club still need to work with COSU on completing the sale but this is a positive step.

Many thanks for the time and effort that has been put into this - so many of us are grateful to finally see this saga coming to an end and for some of us (myslef included) this has been a LONG time coming.

As my local councillor I can assure you that when the local elctions come around I know which box I shall be ticking.
