What would you do if you were Justin Rees

I doubt they'll judge anyone on just a 6 or 4 match sequence. They have a 5yr plan, which I'm sure they'll adjust and tweak as necessary in order to achieve that 5yr plan rather than any short term reactions
Such poor form at a crucial time ought to set alarm bells ringing. I din't think a five year plan entails more of the same inconsistency which is the prevailing characteristic of Maher's stewardship.

Just as well that you are not part of the consortium making the decisions, whilst putting in their own money. Most of us aren't either but we do like to contribute to the club finances and this forum, along with measured opinions.

Helping the club would be a timely decision by COSU to change the coaching staff. They surely must realise that Maher is simply not the answer

Suggest you avoid personal comments and try to understand the subject of this thread.
I’ll ignore the irony of the “personal comments “ from someone who has consistently tried to undermine and disrespect our manager, but I’d like to know what part of “email Justin, and ask him his opinion” isn’t relevant to a thread entitled “What would you do if you were Justin Rees?”

I take it that is tongue in cheek but perhaps they ought to swap roles on reflection.
Slightly - I don't want to see any staff member lose their job, but a long standing criticism from many on here is that the food and beverage offerings are a long way below expectations. It's an area that has seen only limited improvement so far, at least in-house, the out-sourced van by the North shows how it can be done. If that is down to the capabilities of the catering management or areas outside of that person(s) control I don't know. But we're told the plan is to try and increase spend per supporter - seems a pretty obvious way to do it to me and probably a more certain return on investment than gambling that a change in head coach will bring an improvement (on the pitch not food provision)

Not denying access to the Eat Street van to West Stand supporters is one way.

Have you noticed that the vast majority of 'Maher out' posters who start off every 'Post Match Thread' after a defeat, once Cricko has lit the blue touchpaper, do not contribute any financial help to this forum. It almost makes you want to think they're 'sock puppet' accounts!

Pay a big wedge paying compensation to a management team a decent majority on here support- if only that same amount could in the summer be spent on the squad. Maybe we would get somewhere..

They haven't fired the catering manager which is probably a more crucial role in the 5yr plan, at least in the short term, than the 1st team head coach
Probably the catering manager is a perfectly good catering manager for what we have provided in the past and now- perhaps we need a good events and hospitality manager above them who is used to running a more extensive operation- but we seem to prefer outsourcing these facilities to 3rd parties.

One would hope with the new East Stand we would bring all this in house and bring in someone to run it. At least if we are looking to maximise profit. These things shouldn’t be complicated but somehow it always seems h to at way…

1 pay the debt
2 build a more attractive stadium
3 get the new training complex up and running
4 get the players to get us back where we belong

We all want the same thing to get our team playing in division two, but do it so we stay there not go up go back down like we have so many times make it strong from the bottom up
We had good times with Ron but it was built on a pack of cards
With these owners it’s been done the right way and I’m with it all the way

Trouble is I think a lot of people just do not have the confidence that he will be able to build a team and make the right signings.
And the way to prove them wrong will be next season we can put plans together get players at the same start point as everyone else if he fails next season then fair enough

I agree with you, I have a rule I follow, don't go near the Forum until at least 48 hours after a defeat !

If we don’t make the play offs which seems almost certain now, then this season has been a disappointment in my view. Though most people would agree the pre season issues were far from ideal, nevertheless based on the performances last year played out in more difficult circumstances that 7th spot should have been achievable.

If you look at Gateshead for example they have lost two managers in the past couple of years, several of their best players have departed, they had the devastating blow of being thrown out of the play offs last year and sometimes they struggle to get four figure crowds. Yet they are pretty much nailed on for a play off place now.

We aren’t the only ones to experience difficult times, other teams at this level also had to endure adversity in one form or another. I think we have also got off quite lightly with injuries.

We should have done better this season.
