It was the same in the sixties, it made a man of many of the pupils. I would argue that it was a crap school, we were schooled in all sorts of things --- I can strip and re-build a Flymo in 27 minutes.

The high point of my schooling at Fairfax, was being involved in removing the front wheel of a teachers Robin Reliant!!
