There’s something uplifting even for an old cynic like me about seeing these kids who have worked so hard and dedicated themselves to their craft fulfilling their dreams and getting to celebrate that joyous moment with their friends and families.

I have now spoken with the leading candidates for my ward ahead of this week’s local election and I have received a very positive response to my concerns regarding overt displays of affection in public places.

Basically, in exchange for my vote, they have all promised to examine ways of reducing these unpleasant practices and will look at my suggestions with all seriousness. Their words not mine.

I have suggested that areas such as the high street, or sensitive areas such as near schools should be made areas where unjustified shows of affection cannot take place. This would work along the lines of alcohol free areas, monitored by CCTV and patrolled by PCSO’s.

I proposed these areas should be called PAP Zones. Public Affection Prohibited.

Well, all the candidates had huge smiles on their faces as I argued my case which, to me, shows how engaging they found my views.

These people have restored my faith in politicians after all the disgraceful shenanigans at Westminster recently.

I look forward to seeing this coming to fruition in my area very soon. But don’t worry, this will catch on like wild fire and will be with you in no time at all.

It must be that time of a full moon stuff as I had call yesterday asking me to consider doing some work I haven't done for 8 or 9 years and offering $100 an hour, it is an American company and it does involve a bit of stress so I will be thinking long and hard.

There are some really tiny minds on SZ at times.FWIW the only Spanish club I support is Espanyol (and I'll be watching them play a bit later).Couldn't really give a monkey's about other club's results (though I'm always happy when Bar$a lose)
