It's often referred to here in a programming reference. I try not to smirk.......

I'm watching the numbers on a certain Goverment petition tick up every few seconds. Strangely hypnotic - like watching your odometer turn from 9999 to 10000 miles.

Git is a version control system, not a programming tool. It can be used to manage any kind of files...

Have you been watching Only Fools and Horses?

I’ve been watching it from start to finish and reading Del Boy’s ‘autobiography’. It’s said a hell of a lot on both.

Nah just an old guy in the office used it and it made me giggle, I don't think you could ever offend someone by calling them a git.

To be fair my love of the word most probably stems from Del boy
