Question What is making you happy today?

And that makes you happy? Explain!!

Because I've just had two months off! I've finally got my aviation medical sorted out, and am about to renew my flying license which lapsed whilst I broke an ankle and then had elbow surgery...

I'm also about to start a new contract. Not particularly lucrative, but it'll keep me busy for the next 6 months...and they've already said there's a good chance it will be extended once their 2018 budgets are finalised.

Would love to go back, I know I'm lucky to have been twice, but I absolutely loved it out there. Much changed since you last went?

a lot's changed! more built up, more commercial, Oldtown is now a bit threatening. Kennedy Centre is still good though. and we got to swim with dolphins at Discovery Cove.

Oooh I need to update my signature. Now 51 and still playing league football. I hit the bloody post on Saturday would have been a beautiful placed curler from just outside the box. Almost six years in HK and no goal. I was just as prolific for ShrimperZone F.C. I am generally playing CB or defensive midfielder but I played the Ian Benjamin role last Saturday. I've got a Fitbit equivalent and currently on 13,000 steps a day upping to 15K. I wear it when playing with a wristband. Interesting to see what happens to my heart when playing. I can tell by the spikes how often I go on a run, which is not often ha ha. One day I'm going to have to give this game up. The day I stop being selected will tell me when.

In that case, congrats, good luck and well done.

Bought a new Huski chainsaw from those very nice people at Earnest Doe in Rochford; jeepers it has gone through my stack of logs like a hot knife etc.
So fast did I get my wood work done that I got down to the beach with my dog and it was 15C, calm as a mill pond.
Top November day!

The last two seconds of this trailer.

Use headphones if at work...

Fudging a conference call where one guy in Glasgow was on the phone, the US on Skype and me in MK, where I put the laptop and the desktop phone close enough so they could hear each other. :hilarious:

Meeting was ****ing boring though, as they usually are.

Hosted a really lovely dinner party for my baby group girls last night, I do a few of these a year to make up for all the lunches they provide me with on my half day Fridays (when I actually manage to get them). A few drinks and lots of laughs - always good for the soul (and the food all turned out ok too!).

Nearly went there today but they operate complete ban on dogs.
Stihl power tools ARE excellent, very well made and superb balance, expensive but true quality.

I applaud the ban on dogs.

I know most dog owners are responsible etc. etc. but the ones that aren't really do spoil it for everyone else.

I don't know how many times a dot on the horizon has shouted 'don't worry, he likes kids' as their out of control attack dog approaches my family at speed.

Don't get me started on people who bag dog waste and then throw it in a bush. Over the RSPB reserve on Canvey owners pile bags up at the corner of paths because they think they are entitled to do waste bins. Take it home you lazy, ignorant ****s.

Finally it should be la1 that dog waste bags are biodegradable.

A mate of mine organises a booze-up in Baker St Wetherspoons every Christmas. Thus year, he has employed some TV personalities to promote it.

Not sure if people will be able to view this clip if they've not been invited to the event, but it is worth a try:

Can't view it but I hope it is every bit as good as I'm imagining it to be.

All I get is this:
