Question What is making you happy today?

I read that Mayor Khan has made a minimum wage of 23k for London bus drivers. Very well done Mr Khan. He has kept an election promise and has done something positive for those drivers who were being paid less, for what is a demanding job.
My hope is that bus companies do not now see this minimum wage as also the maximum wage that they pay.

Managed to get tickets to see Lionel Richie with Mariah Carey in Madison Square Gardens in April. Taking the wife to New York for a couple of days as a 30th birthday treat (she loves both Lionel and Mariah so to get both together was a bonus).

My wife loves Lionel Richie as well and I made a clay bust of his head for her birthday.

This actually made me happy yesterday - the FIFA competition at Roots Hall. Took my son along, great fun all round - well done to James for organising it. Me and another dad got roped in to play as SUFC and Col Ewe - we both went out at the group stage!

Is that some kind of peep show?

Out of the madness that was Tesco's. Let the feast and beer drinking begin.

(After a nice cup of coffee and a sit down)

We once spent two hours queing at Tescos and once through i double fisted the air whilst screaming YES which raised a giggle for the poor shoppers waiting, dont miss it at all.

If it wasn't for the kids I wouldn't bother. Even had some old bag bending my ear because they had run out of tangerines. I suggested she contact the papers to expose this disgrace and how her Christmas has been ruined. I think she just might.

No more work until Jan 5th, now sat at home with a bottle of excellent port watching Ghost Stories for Christmas on DVD. The next time I have to be anywhere at a particular time is Roots Hall, 1pm, December 26th...

We've just finished wrapping the kids presents, all under the tree; and I am now sitting on the sofa with a glass of bourbon and we're watching Jason and the Argonauts:-)

Also got my ticket for the Boxing Day fixture- yay!

Going to Malvern for three days.

Hill walking, top pubs, great Indian restaurants, nice Witherspoons hotel and Danny Champion Of The World at the theatre.
