Question What is making you happy today?

Indeed great tennis from Murray last night. That boy is re-writing the history books.

Italy away? No problem. If Murray stays fit I can see us reaching the Davis Cup final. That, however maybe another story.

Very well played James Ward as well, taking out Querrey. We need others to step up and give Murray a hand, good to see someone finally doing as much.

Indeed. I was listening to the commentary Friday night on the way home from the footy. He was 3-1 down in the 3rd when I got in so I decided against staying up because I assumed he'd lose.

Well done that man. It was massive because it meant Murray could have a rest on Saturday. Even with Murray in the team it would be unlikely that we would beat the Bryan brothers so allowing Murray a rest for the reverse singles was crucial.

The "look back" video wotist on Facebook is quite touching, even for a cynical old git like me. Especially as one of my "most liked" posts was saying goodbye to H(arry). :'(

Yes, I agree, I had the Egghead team photo as part of my montage, nice touch from FB.

Yeah, I thought it was going to be dreadful, but it's actually pretty good isn't it? Can't believe I've been on there for seven years!

Getting closer to one of my favourite times of the year The Cheltenam Festival, got tickets for two days, hotel booked, money in the bank to lose and great to take on the Irish in the horse world,oh and maybe the odd few pints of the Black stuff as I watch AP,Ruby and Barry cross the finish line

I'll be there on the Tuesday, having missed the last two years. Going to be cracking.

I used to live near Cheltenham and if you didn't know better you would have sworn somebody parachuted thousands of drunk Irishmen in cheap suits into town overnight.

Use to be invited to a box infront of winning line, but now changed jobs so in the mad crowd and standing in the Guiness tent

Ive booked a B&B ten miles from the course and have an early private shuttle bus to ferry us to the course and sample early breakfast delights

Im going Thurs and Fri atmosphere will be electric, like a school kid rather than a 53 year old bloke:smile:
Looking forward to hearing peoples fancies

Is it not threatened by the weather? The West of England is virtually underwater!

Over four weeks to go; plenty can happen between now and then.

Also, the amount of money at stake for the course if any days were lost means they'll put a proper shift on to ensure it goes ahead (in a way that, say a Monday meeting at Plumpton won't).

Should probably start a thread on the sports forum to discuss this, but a colleague of mine is all over The New One for the Champion Hurdle. Generally around 10/3, he rates it a 6/4 chance.

Had my picture taken this morning with my 2 new grandchildren on my lap Matilda 10 weeks old and Riley 3 days old .:happy::happy:

First appraisal in the new job today and things are going well apparently :smiles: so refreshing after the old job!
