Watching Espanol play is rather like watching SUFC these days it seems.
Epanyol's current home record is P4 W0 D0 L4.

Even we've managed a home draw this season.

My running/cycling shoes got a soaking friday and they've shrunk a bit

My mum used to have these wooden/spring devices she put in her shoes to expand them, trouble is she's 80 miles away....and probably thrown away 25+ years ago. How I could do with them now.

So the World Athletics Championships are in Doha Qatar. Why? Some finals were last night, including Dina Asher-Smith in the 100m sprint. The stadium was empty apart from relatives and friends of all the athletes it seems. It's been reported that the people of Qatar have no interest in athletics, and lots won't watch on religious grounds of how female athletes are dressed. So why hold it there. It must also be demoralising for winning athletes to do a lap of honour in an empty stadium after all the training, build up and heats leading up to these championships.

Seeing as both myself, Barna and the ultra-right ex-poster Rusty S agreed, don't you think some subjects cut across political lines? It's hardly a left v right argument is it?

Not everyone agrees it should be compulsory or children excluded from schools. So it then becomes political.

Neither is Brexit but we aren't about to discuss it here either.

I'll repeat my question: what's your definition of political if it excludes policy decisions taken by government ministers?

I don't feel that there is really a left vs right argument in most contentious issues. Everything has dissolved into 'us vs them'. Whether you are 'us' or 'them' really doesn't matter. I read the Scottish football site 'Pie and Bovril' quite frequently, and they have a politics forum. Only posts that are pro-remain, pro-SNP, pro-Scottish independence and pro-diversity are allowed, and it is just a dull echo chamber. The board admins prefer that to a toxic partisan shouting match, which would no doubt follow if dissent was permitted. I don't really like the sound of either option on this board.
