To be honest, those comments above make me pretty cross. As a Royal Princess, her wedding would have cost "us" something because of the security necessary at any event where the more important Royals are in attendance. Eugenie is the daughter of the Queen's second son, who was therefore second in line to the throne (the "spare") at one stage.

I watched bits of it while I worked and I thought it was a beautiful wedding and she was incredibly brave to deliberately wear a neckline which meant the scars from her scoliosis operation were visible to all. Good luck to them both.

And of course, no charities benefit from their patronage, do they?

And I am still bloody cross with my house sale - mortgage offer is now out at the bottom (although not in the solicitor's paws) but the lender has raised a query concerning a 15 year old conservatory - which the solicitor had been happy with. And the one above has just identified that a copy building regs certificate is still needed - the seller there has apparently been to the council, ordered and paid for it today though so hopefully this bit is sorted.

Fingers and toes firmly crossed that, by Tuesday next week at the very latest, we will know if the lenders are going to be sensible and "take a view" or if they're going to be total assholes and insist on retrospective certification.

I have a horrible feeling I know which way it's going to go......

Sit down, chill, & murder your bottle of Rose.x

Puncture on the truck at the tip in Cambridge. Pitch dark and the tight git refuses to put up some lighting. One of the most profitable tips in the country but the owner is tighter than a camels arse in a sand storm.

I'm sure that contravenes Health & Safety.

Probably not. He has the EA over there on a daily basis and runs the place to the letter of the law, he has to really when you consider the horrible stuff that goes in there (contaminated soil)

Also he does an awful lot for the surrounding area and sponsers Cambridge United so I doubt he would allow dangerous practice.

A sneaky phonecall to the HSE would back that up. :Whistling:

Southend fans who slag off the team on twitter during the 1st half, then 2nd half, without irony praise the team. (and even go as far as getting a photo with the manager)

Had ikea deliver a new large wardrobe with sliding doors last week. Glass panels were broken on arrival, so had to have an exchange that came through today. Putting the door together during lunch and managed to accidentally crack one of the glass panels ffs. away with work for the rest of the week now so missus is grumpy that her clothes still need to live in the conservatory and will have to finish it off at the weekend.

tl;dr - broke something

you could appeal that.
yes you probably can.

As someone who bumped along the bottom sets at WHSB I'd also say that it might not turn out to be such a bad thing, especially given there are some excellent comprehensives in SE Essex.

Grammar schools are great if you're super super smart, but my experience at WHSB wasn't so positive.

I can't say I particularly enjoyed my experience there in the 6th form either.

They should still replace the broken one. I had two wardrobes that were so cumbersome to put together I broke them twice. Both times they replaced the bits (and I got a professional to build them in the end!)

I'm not sure they are all super smart. Many have been tutored all of their lives and have barely kicked a ball between maths, English and violin lessons.
