BT I finally decided to dump Sky for my broadband and go across to BT Infinity. I placed the order on 22 July. They promised my modem would arrive on the 4thAugust - it did, they told me my activation date would me 7th August - It wasn't. I rang BT on the 8th and was told there had been delay and I could expect an update on 11th Aug. Got my update via answerphone, they're (Outreach) are still working on it, update in a week. Ran BT expressed my sadness in a forceful way. The poor girl rang the engineers and they have now promised to do the work by 14th Aug. Then BT will ring me and tell me my new connection date. FFS. Luckily Sky haven't chopped our current connection. BT World Class? My arse!

Loads of phone calls later, both ways, got told that there was insufficient capacity in the cabinet to connect me. We had a very pleasant chat about it all, I got my very own BT problem manager, and I finally got connected today. I have to say the line now goes like greased ****, from 7 meg with Sky to 47 meg with BT.

I have stepped it up at the gym and have found that I continue sweating after I have showered. By the time I am dressed I am soaked again...

before getting in shower fill up sink with cold water and place hands and wrists in the cold water for 2 minutes, It makes a MASSIVE difference

Glad to say I don't have reason to post often on this thread.
My son does some buying and selling of stuff that he uses/interests him (long boarding, bikes, cameras). just sold a £1000 camera to buyer in Ireland. Our fault, we didn't realise that you had to ask for a 'lithium battery' sticker for the Post office to put on the label. Post office website says they have destroyed the parcel ! I know its our fault, but it had a return address couldnt they return it and charge us again. Fingers crossed I can call them tomorrow and speak to someone sympathetic.

xxxxing ebay has changed their listing policy so that stuff is automatically available to international buyers- we didn't realise that. will need to be more carefull

My old mum has some serious health issues; any way the short story is that her long time GP surgery is now out of her catchment area and wont carry on doing home visits so we have changed her to one a few hundred yards away. With her recent broken hip and perforated bowel that needs an Op (Sept in SGH) she can't get in/out of a car or walk far, or cope with a wheelchair.
On being told this and that she might need a home visit by GP sometime/anytime the receptionist said she would only authorise " that after mum has been accessed by the practice nurse in the practice that she can't physically get to.
The final words of "care" from the receptionist God were "when she is better then she can come in then and be assessed!":angry::angry:

No, but we got warning alarms on our cellphones telling us to take cover and move to the basement/ground floor. That was 6am. Couldn't get back to sleep after that!

Saw an "expert" on the BBC saying that Trump won't go to war with NK despite his posturing, and there is no way to stop NK getting a nuclear bomb within the next few years as sanctions are toothless. End of days anyone?
