Some shady mo-fo tried to use my bank card online to buy flights for nearly £400. Fortunately the bank stopped it, but how rude! :angry:

Annoying.Where did this attempted fraudulent use take place? It's happened to me before now.You'll also have to check where you might have used your C/C online recently.

The thing is I have two accounts, one for bills and the other for spending. It was the bill one that was tried to be used, which I haven't used in probably six months and apparently the IP address was in the UK, but that means nothing if they're using a VPN.

I think this is the third time it's happened. The internet really is the wild west.

Someone used my credit card at an online African currency exchange and took out over £1000! To be fair the fraud department were on it quite quickly but I'm still trying to work out how it was cloned. I had used it at a Tesco pay at pump and also pay by phone parking in Bournemouth so had to be one of them.

I had my card used once. It was used to buy petrol in Ealing about 10 minutes after I paid a landing fee on the same card at Sywell in Northampton. Lloyds were immediately on top of it.
