It's not rained THAT hard (apart from today) and the garden needs it. I tried to dig up some weeds and the ground was like concrete!

Agreed, we need the rain. But that should have happened months ago. The clouds missed their chance. They can complain all they like, but they should wait until September to make another appearance.

It's time for some settled warm and sunny weather.

These are the sort of showers and weather reports I expected to see last month. April showers seem to have become May showers.

Just worked it out (I have 11 years of weather data to hand and I'm bored )....April 2016 had almost 300% more average rainfall than April 2017 across the UK (2016:0.235mm compared to 2017:0.06mm), and that includes some usually very wet areas of Scotland.

Pointless meetings where people talk in gibberish and you have to ask them to explain themselves and when they do you realise you don't care.

At my company they have meetings every day, usually twice for at least an hour. Doe's anything change for the better, does it ****!.
Becoming more obsessed with statistics, with no idea of the difference between theory & Practice. Spend more time filling in reports, than doing the actual job i'm employed for!.
Cant understand why sales are dropping & consumers not spending more!. Er how about most peoples disposable income hasn't risen in recent years, and everyone's paying more for essentials?.
Would have thought they would have realised that, as no-one there has had a pay rise for 2-3 years!.
Total tunnel vision. Thank goodness i'm the age I am, and not got the daunting prospect of another 30-40 years of working.

Yes, he'd always suffered, but as Supernaut said, he was performing and apparantly in good spirits. His wife has said the drugs he'd been taking may have affected his judgement.

It seems the grunge scene was plagued by depression and drug dependency. Kurt, Layne and Chris 3 of my favourites all suffering and dying from it

The music could be intense, but there are many musicians of that ilk who weren't... Eddie Vedder, Mark Arm, Mark Lanegan, Dave Grohl for example, and there are plenty of poppier styles of music who have commited suicide (Stuart Adamson) or been drug dependant (Marti Pellow.) Not sure the type of music has anything to do with it.

3 of the big 4 Seattle grunge bands lead singers suggests there being some correlation. Eddie Vedder being the odd one out but he was quite different, a surfer from California. Plus Pearl Jam were pretty much Mother Love Bone with Vedder replacing Andrew Wood who died of a drug overdose
