Prosecco, never had it before, highly overrated.
If you've never tried it, how do you know?
Having said that, I prefer Lindauer.

I get all that (don't agree about Cava but whatever), I just wonder about the total sea change in the space of a year or 2. I know people who didn't used to drink but they feel the need to bang on about Prosecco of late. Something must have happened to make it 'fashionable'.Ladies (mostly) love champagne, prosecco is a cheaper version and a million times nicer than Cava.

the growers in Italy call Prosecco "liquid gold". Go to Harry's Bar in Venice and have a Bellini. It costs the earth but is one of life's great experiences.
Disgraceful that, yesterday, a terminally ill man that we knew, died and his widow and family had to wait 14 hours (till 4 a.m. this morning) for him to be pronounced dead officially. The family suffered enough during his last weeks, why couldn't someone give them this final pronouncement in a more reasonable time?
:soapbox:
Tried it New Year Eve. That's how I know, obviously.
I imagine some are better than others.
Yes, sorry to hear of your story, but does sound similar. Stibbards were also on standby for this and ready well ahead of the doctor/emergency paramedic. They were available through the night. I also wondered if, because it was an expected death, it was much less of a priority. :sad:Last Tuesday (27th) morning my 'estranged' wife passed away in the family home in Shoebury, she had bowel & Liver cancer. I sat by her bedside for the last 22 hrs, along with my youngest son.
Phoned 111 as advised by the Carer, got put through to their base in Ashford!. Was told it would be a 4-5 hrs wait (!), as it was a public holiday, and they were very busy.
Also because the death was expected, and not unexpected, which apparently takes priority?. Dr. turned up about 4 hrs later, being driven everywhere by a designated driver. He said he was not from this area, but was covering from Brentwood to Chelmsford to Shoebury!. What a state our NHS is in!.
I asked him if he'd be calling an undertaker, he said that was down to me, or if I wanted I could keep her body here for a couple of days!!!!. WTF.
Yeah ok, i'll put it in the shed!. Fortunately Stibbards were working that day, and were round within an hour.
Guess your story is very similar to mine, as yesterday being a Bank Hol, but even so, 14 hrs is disgraceful.
Brought it to toast the New Year. Next time I'll use a bottle of bud.
