It's bloody outrageous, trousering around £5 million a year and they're living like pigs!!:angry::angry:

Insurance companies - utter *******s! Noticed the renewal letter in a pile of post and the renewal figure seemed pretty high. Phoned them to ask how much it was this year compared to last and they've added £143 despite no other changes affecting the policy! Asked them to justify the increase and they lopped it right off there and then, no debate, no drama. So ultimately,no problem... just confirmation of the long-held suspicion that these ***** are actively looking to screw those not actively looking out for being screwed. I informed them in double-barreled fashion of my contempt for their practices and how I shouldn't need to protect myself from their lack of scruples. We didn't part as friends.

Direct Line in case anyone's interested.

My insurers tried the same thing TWICE,firstly my car premium increased by 95 which they instantly waived, few weeks later my pet insurance went up by 11 per month which they again dropped.

They must be making shed loads when people don't query.

I'm currently waiting to hear if my cancelled holiday will be refunded - it's been going on since I had no option but to cancel it in August. The insurance company want me to to jump through hoops to prove I didn't fly or use the villa & hotel to the point where I had to call on the services of French speaking Zoner to assist in getting a no-show hotel letter.

I provided the no-show letter for the flights, but hey, I decided to drive to the South of France instead and use my two nights stay in Perpingnan, and then drive back.

Idiots.

Had my flying medical this morning. My appointment was at 8.20 and it's a 35 minute drive to the surgery where I have it done. I decided to leave a bit early just in case of traffic. So I left at 8.05!

I completely got my timings wrong, and turned up late. Thankfully all went well though. I also had to take my car to an accident repair place about 2 minutes from the surgery. (In the wind last week a piece of wood was blown onto my car and dented it.)

So, I dropped the car in, and then went home, having been asked if I had left anything important in the car. Of course I hadn't, I'm too sensible for that. Except when I got home I remembered that I had left my house keys in the car!

I then had to walk to my wife's work (only about 5 minutes away) to pick up her car (yes she drove to work!) and drive all the way back to the garage to pick up my keys, and then I had to drop the car back with my wife and then walk home.

So, in summary what has hacked me off today?

1. Being an idiot and leaving late for my appointment.
2. My car needing a dent knocked out.
3. Being an idiot and leaving my keys in my car.

Basically I'm hacked off at being an idiot!

(In fairness to my wife she drove because she's not coming home after work, she's going to Costco to pick up a whole load of stuff for the school xmas fair.)

Note to self......WARNING, WARNING..............In any circumstances, do not get in a plane with londonblue as the pilot.

Perpignan is great - did you get to go to the beach at all? Ive spent a few weeks in that area.

The obnoxious idiot who lives in Leighton Avenue who is far to lazy to walk to Leigh Station and is far to lazy to shut the taxi door.

I was being sarcastic about the Insurance Company. We had to cancel the whole holiday, 7 days in Collioure and 2 in Perpingnan - my missus had an op on her leg and her surgeon advised her not to travel as she was left with an open wound that needed daily dressings by a nurse that could have easily become infected.

No refunds available from hotel/villa or Ryan Air, so almost £1500 wasted (or hopefully not should the insurance pay out).

It's cold, wet and grey - pretty much winter - so it's time to do battle with the eco-friendly air con at MKQ - which works by opening the windows near me and its ****ING FREEZING COLD.

I don't care if those on the ground floor are sweating buckets!
