Question What are you reading?

Christopher Isherwood's Berlin Stories.Have to confess I'd never got around to reading this until now.Since we were staying just around the corner from where he lived in Berlin, it would have been rude not to have checked this out.Good stuff and superbly portrays early 1930's Berlin.Sally Bowles of course made her first appearance in these pages.

Just started reading Mike Scott's Adventures of a Waterboy.Interesting read.Scott comes across very much as a music fan especially describing meeting Patti Smith and Dylan in the 70's.

Now on the second book of Game of Thrones. Can't put them down. Have a 24 hour flight to Oz soon and as I can't sleep on planes that should take up a fair bit of time.

Enjoy the journey, both the flight and that of the book! Great series, wonder how long till the next one comes out....

Well I hate flying so moving to Aus probably wasn't the best idea I have ever had but hey, the beer is free so that will probably get me through.

On that note, finished book 1 last night. Going to read World War Z next before I tackle Book 2.

Just about finished with this, excellent twist on the genre. Brilliant views on not just the usual shock and (g)awe of the living dead, but the impact such a virus would have, economically, politically, environmentally, religously and so many versions of each depending on each nations own beliefs & agenda's.

Really enjoyed it.

Read the 1st chapter and half of the second in one night (which is quite something for me who nods off after 10 mins!), so yeah, it's great so far.

A The Making Of Modern Britain by Andrew Marr.

Just finished French Revolutions (Tim Moore), about a chap who unwisely decides to ride the Tour de France route and The Last King of England (Julian Rathbone), an historical novel set around the Battle of Hastings.
