I'm currently reading the Hypnotist by Lars Kepler.
It's disjointed, formulaic, stereotypical in its character development, and you can tell it's by a writing team rather than one person, there's a huge bit in the middle which just doesn't add anything to the story.
BUT it's a cracking pageturner.
