Question What are you reading?

I'm halfway through Ken Livingstone's excellent(and massive) autobiography You can't say that. There probably isn't a more honest man in contemporary politics. The early stuff about his south London background and hitchiking trip to Africa was fascinating..

Welcome back.

Livingstone honest? You are of course having a giraffe.

Read Ian McEwan's Solar, which whilst an easy holiday read, wasn't particularly great.

Re-reading my favourite book of all time, The Rum Diary - mainly because I'm really scared of seeing the hollywood film version starring ****ing Johnny ****ing Depp

Daniel Beaumont's Preachin' the Blues:The Life and Times of Son House. An excellent biography of my favourite blues musician."A must read" according to John Hammond on the dust jacket and also praised by Taj Mahal.

No, the great blues musician, whom I've had the pleasure of seeing live on many occasions.:moon:

Listening to The Psychopath Test by Jon Ronson which is fascinating stuff.

Reading All The Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy which is ok but I always struggle with his writing style.

Chris Mullin's Decline and Fall. The mixture as before from the author of A View from the Foothills.Excellent stuff from the best political diarist of our times.

Reading Hunger Games now my son has read it. Really enjoying it.

Two thirds of the way through this, it's excellent. looking forward to the film now!

It might be a kids/young adult book, but it's properly badass too!

Chris Mullin's Error of Judgement.Excellent.Anyone who believes in capital punishment should read this classic account of a clear miscarriage of justice.
