Question What are you reading?

Bought and started to read To Kill A Mockingbird today while on a trip to Lunduhn for a job interview. Can't help but read it in a "good ole boy" deep south accent.

Killing Zone - Harry McCallion, book about a guy who was in the British army serving in Ulster, the South African Reece Commando's and the SAS interesting stuff if you like this sort of thing.

Can't say I read a lot of fiction. Being a History boff, factual books are my game.

Reading 'Colonial America' by Richard Middleton at the moment. Always wanted to learn about Colonial America, Revolutionary America and the War of Independence. Uni didn't offer a module on it so I thought I'd clue myself up.

Recently finished Alone in Berlin.Excellent.Also Front Row a book of theatre reviews from the Oldie by Beryl Bainbridge.Hugely enjoyable.

All The Pretty Horses - Cormac Mccarthy and Flashman's Lady - George Macdonald Fraser.

Recommend the Flashman series for anyone that had the misfortune to study Tom Brown's Schooldays. Top cad action from England's greatest ever hero.

Just read The Angel's Game by Carlos Ruiz Zafron, no where near as good as The Shadow of the Wind

Just finished re-reading Kerouac's 'Big Sur', probably his 2nd most famous book. Poetic but hard going as he's fully in the grip of his alcoholism.

Now reading former britpop starlet Louise Wener's 'The Big Blind' which I'm finding suprisingly good and entertaining.

check your twitter, just sent you a mention.

Ricky Tomlinson's signed Autobiography. Very interesting, especially with his time in prison & how he fell into acting. Also his shagging around too! A bit of a lad as they would normally say!
