Question What are you reading?

Currently reading Ted Lewis's :Jack's Return Home aka Get Carter.Enjoyable thriller.Glad they dropped the casual 1970's racism for the film though.

Just started White Heat.A look back at the 60's.They say if you remember the 60's you weren't really there. But the book starts with Churchill's funeral.I certainly remember that.

Just finished Jimmy Bullard’s book which was a very entertaining read and now starting on Slash’s book.

Just started Richard Bradford's excellent The Biography of Alan Sillitoe: The Life of a Long Distance Runner.(Met the great man once, (that's Sillitoe not RB) :Winking: in Sant Pargoire (near Montpellier).Nice bloke.

Have a new Orwell book to send your way next time we're in France (cheap postage).

Finally got around to picking up Johnny Rogan's biography of Ray Davies, 'A Complicated Life,' that you passed onto me many moons ago. Typically well-written and avidly researched and a great insight into the post-war days. Just up to the period when 'You Really Got Me' was released - great stuff and many thanks again for all your hand-'em-ons! ?
